Mr. Shaw, appraising an
indenture signed by Patrick Henry.

"Mr. Shaw provided an invaluable and insightful appraisal of a stained glass heraldic window that aided in researching its provenance. Unusual in composition, Mr. Shaw correctly identified the outer portion of the window as early 20th-century manufacture. Moreover, he correctly identified the inset herald as late-Medieval period. Mr. Shaw's authentication sparked further curiosity and research which resulted in the discovery of no less than six publications that provided evidential proof of the window's Medieval provenance. Four sources detailed visual depictions of the window's original situ within an English Tudor mansion, nonextant. One 1911 publication describes the window as "sufficiently complete to display a typical example of an early Tudor glass painting." Kudos to Mr. Shaw for his fine eye, professionalism, and unparalleled expertise."
